Our firm is pleased to present a sale devoted exclusively to prehistoric archaeology, each lot of which has been the subject of a typological analysis and description by our Consultant, Mr. Vincent DAVID.

This sale includes 199 lots (nos. 300 to 498) belonging to the Collection of Mr. Guy P., who has assembled a large group of lithic tools dating mainly from the Paleolithic and Neolithic periods

- some collected on the surface (in Loiret and Indre-et-Loire),

- some were acquired and exchanged from much earlier collections (1st half of the 20th century).

Mr. P.'s collection notably includes 2 Paleolithic bifaces of exceptional size and workmanship, a series of fine polished axe blades and a significant group of Pressignian flint objects, including a rare series of arrowheads, knife blades and "Livre de beurre" nuclei.

The second part of the sale (nos. 499 et seq.) features lots from 12 other collections covering all periods of prehistory, from the Lower Paleolithic to the Metal Age (including bifaces, polished axe blades, bronze axes, etc.).
