ORIGINAL EDITION (dedicated by the publishers to the Société épicurienne du Caveau moderne) of this collection of anecdotes and dialogues on eating and drinking, divided into thirty highly instructive chapters. Mention of a second edition, as parts of the course had previously been published in "l'Épicurien français", as the editors specify [Vicaire, 137]. "One of the best anecdotal collections of the period" [Oberlé, 171].
